Sandy Ische
Premarital Coach
About Sandy
I help engaged Christian couples in the San Diego area prepare for marriage—not just the wedding—with faith-based premarital counseling and the SYMBIS assessment. I also offer virtual sessions.
With more than 10 years of experience working with couples, I provide a warm, structured, and conversational approach to premarital counseling. My goal is to create a relaxed space where you can ask questions, have meaningful conversations, and prepare for married life with greater understanding and confidence.
As a SYMBIS Facilitator, I help couples discover their strengths, understand their differences, and explore important topics they may not have considered yet. Together, we talk about communication, personality styles, money talks, conflict, emotional connection and intimacy, shared values, and building a strong support system within your church community. We also identify practical steps you can apply as you build your life together.
Sessions are typically one hour, with most couples meeting for 3–5 sessions depending on their needs. This allows us to build rapport, explore meaningful topics, and explore questions that come up along the way. When helpful, I provide additional resources and practical exercises to help couples continue the conversation between sessions.
I believe premarital counseling is an investment in your relationship. It’s an opportunity to grow closer, understand one another more deeply, and prepare for a lifetime of love together. I am married to my best friend, and together we make each other stronger. I love my husband deeply, and I am passionate about equipping other couples to build a healthy, thriving marriage, too.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
